I think you should stick with the serialistic painting painting ur nature paintings are way too childish sorry
how do you paint the trunks of trees along with the branches??you get them so realistic mine always come out so awkward and ugly ._.
can you do brush care plzz that would be great!
Yeah, I feel the same because I’ve strictly been using apple barrel acrylics for a year or two now. I got them because I was a beginner and they were cheap, but now I’m starting to hate them too. They are very limited and too liquidy making it difficult to blend like how I see in Gagnon’s videos. So I guess that’s how you know when you’re progressing. When you start to feel like you’re being restricted by an art media it’s time for an upgrade because you’re improving as an artist.
maybe a thin coat gesso would be the way to go before you paint.
If you live near a Michaels arts and craft store, you could apply to Chartpac(Grumbacher) to become an acrylic painting instructor. I believe they are now charging the new instructors for the initial supplies, but after that you get your supplies for free.
what type or brand of brushes do you use
can you please tell us about brush care?
I swear…. I feel like I’m locked in a dungeon and all I get feed is Apple Barrel paint. I hate apple barrel paint even more now… but its so cheap and addictive. Whats a poor man to do? So starved I am :’(
Great vid. Thank you for your tip on how you load your brushes.

Hi there.. I have been following your vidoes and like your style and technique very much. I use acrylic paint on drawing books (not canavas), the problem I face is that paint tends to dry out very quickly.. I think it’s because the paper absorbs the paint. Do you have any suggestions to keep acrlylic paint from drying quickly? Once again.. Thanks
if youre single , date me ? lol
Love, love, love the finished painting in the background. I’ve been waiting to see it finished and it’s FABULOUS! Thanks for sharing!
could you do a video for experienced painters that are still crap at painting?
haha
thanx tim
I use Golden too, it’s what my teacher suggested, and also happens to be what my school sells in the bookstore!
thanks for answering the questions!
Thanks for the video! I was hoping maybe you could do one on the basics, for beginners? I’ve never taken any professional art classes (outside of highschool) and would like to get back into painting as i’ve really missed it, but i feel like i’m lacking some base knowledge to create some nice works again so a video like that would be amazing
Thanks for the video! Here’s my question: Do you typically do a color scheme test on a separate sheet of paper before you start a painting? How do you know what colors you are going to use on a specific piece?
You should make a acrylic painting book. With tips and stuff !Yeah!
Thank you Tim!!! …you are the best!!!
very helpful stuff, make more FAQ’s!
