Japanese Dragon Painter

I encountered a small dragon painter shop when I was in Japan. I filmed the whole process but my legs were all sore from walking lots that day so I hope it is not too shaky with my cheap camera :D www.kousyuuya.com (His website I think, got this link via comments) A lot of people have been asking where this shop is located I can only give a rough estimate. On google maps: maps.google.nl My blog for some photos: immow.blogspot.com Link with information about temples and such: www.japan-guide.com

  1. How the fuck does he do THAT in 8 minutes???? I may have seen it with my own eyes, but that is IMPOSSIBLE!!!

  2. I must learn the stroke technique he’s using at 3:11 it’s totally amazing!!!

  3. good lord i think Issun and Ishaku have some serious competition!!!!!! (thumbs up if you know what i’m talking about)

  4. OH MY GOSH i am speechless at the sheer skill of this brilliant painter. I’ve tried (and evidently i need to more) but I still can’t even do a proper bone-stroke! and then I see this artist and he makes everything look so simple- I just can’t imagine how long it took him to master such beautiful work. And don’t even get me started on his caligraphy! it’s BEAUTIFUL! I have to pause it to comment because I don’t want to miss a single brush stroke! (btw i do play Okami hence da respect of the brush

  5. HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO amazing ….i don’t even have the right words to describe the brilliance of this artist!

  6. Awesomness level = Prussian (meaning if he were any awesomer the universe would explode, if you don’t catch my drift.) Damn! I sometimes put months of effort into my art, making sure every detail is right! The guy takes eight minutes and BOOM! you’ve got one BA dragon picture. I want one!

  7. Chinese dragon has 5 toes because its based on the claws of the eagles. Apparently they’re too stupid to realize eagles do not have 5 claws.

  8. As great as that is, anyone can learn to do it. It just takes time and practice.

  9. What the hell, he just paints a squiggly line onto paper and it’s instantly a perfect dragon. Magic, I tell you.

  10. you have to be fucking kidding me this is beautiful i fucking love it if you have time or anything can you get me one please :)
